| On behalf of the board of directors, staff volunteers we would like to welcome Pepsi as our new Presenting Sponsor.
Pepsi has been a tremendous supporter of our festival from the beginning and we are thrilled at this new level of partnership. Thank you to Mayor Hazel McCallion, our Honourary Chair, and Carmen Corbasson, Councilor Ward 1, who continue to be our voice at the City and two of our biggest supporters. They inspire us with their example, showing how caring citizens can benefit others, by giving of themselves no matter how busy. I thank and admire our volunteer board that has given so generously of their time and talents. There is no worthier cause than making a difference in the lives of children.
Thank you Wayne Anderson, Bill Avery, Susan Avery, Dave Baker, Gabriella Bank, Dan Barrett, Mike Boyle, Angie Bozzo, Rosanne Deschenes, Helen Goljak, Margaret Greco, Patricia Hammill, Howard McIntyre, Sheila Orr, Ashley Pickett, Karen Priest, Jeff Stephens, Dave Timms, and Jo Ann Zulak.
Paul & Gillian Sych, owners of the design company Faith, have again produced our award winning promotional materials that give us a unique and distinctive flare.
Special thanks to Shelly Tsolakis, our liaison from The City of Mississauga, South District Parks & Recreation for her support and facilitating of our groups needs. The board would like to acknowledge all of the hard work done by the Event /Artistic Manager Patti Jannetta and our Event Coordinator Geraldine O’Neill.
A special thanks to all of those at the City of Mississauga who have helped to make things happen for our group and especially for our newly renovated home in Port Credit, Memorial Park. The City and its Parks and Recreation employees play a major part in our success and enable us to present this wonderful Festival to the community it serves. We wish to thank Mark Stafford of the Peel Regional Police Department, our board liaison. Thanks to all of our MWF volunteers who have helped us once again create an exciting fun filled event.
There can never be a better feeling than giving joy to children and individuals who struggle in their daily lives.
Sincerely,
Patricia E. Anderson Chair, Mississauga Waterfront Festival 2007
